My Internship in Dubai "Chartis Company" :

In June 2011 I took my internship in Dubai city for six weeks. I worked in American home assurance company "Chartis". It is a world leading property-casualty and general insurance organization, and it is one of the industry’s most extensive ranges of products and services, deep claims expertise and excellent financial strength.

In my six weeks internship I have learnt a lot of things about insurance companies and how it work and manage their business to make it successful. I found out, that there are many kinds of insurance which the clients can take out to protect their against financial loss and hardship and the liability insurance which is consider as one of the most important for any business or individual. After getting all the knowledge about the company, I have chosen to work in "Liability insurance department" where I met excellent team who taught me very well about how to manage their business and how to communicate with clients. Simply and most importantly, what I learnt in this department that there are three parties "the company, the injured, and the one who caused the damage". The liability insurance covers you for any costs incurred through claims made against you by a third party who may have suffered loss or damage as a result of the actions. But on the other hand, liability insurance cannot be used to cover you against intentional damage or crimes committed against a third party. That was a simple explanation of what the department that I worked in do. About me I had to do two tasks first is organizing insurance records, and this records enable the company to provide needed information to provide documentation of benefit and insurance coverage. My second task was measuring the insurance coverage, and communicates with the "broker" the one who brought the clients and make the insurance deal clear and suitable for the both parties. I did my tasks perfectly as they asked me and I was very pleased working with my team who were very helpful and provided me with valuable information and knowledge about insurance companies, and taught me how to be smart and bring good deals to benefit the company.

In Conclusion, this experience in Dubai was worth it and it was very valuable for me. I gained new skills and tasks and it was exactly what I needed and what I expected from this program. It definitely helped me to know how to work professionally and how to work with a team with a good spirit.

I am very thankful for LOYAC for giving us this amazing opportunity and for taking care of us there and taking care of our accommodation. We appreciate Loyac & Chartis company for supporting the youth and encourage us to develop ourselves in business filed, which gave us more confidence and new skills and definitely prepare us for a better future.
