LoYAC Lebanon’s first program was the summer program 2009. Students from public and private educational institutions were recruited and selected upon the following criteria: Written examination to assess their Arabic and a foreign language level and an interview. After the selection, students got the opportunity to do an internship for 6 weeks in well known companies and gain experience related to their academic specialization. In return they had to do a minimum of 15 hours of community service. This year 40 students from high schools and universities were enrolled in the program.

Companies Participated:

Al Mawarid Bank, Virgin Megastore, Bank Audi Lebanon, HSBC, AFDC Lebanon, MBC, Network Operations and Consultancy Center (NOCC), Man Enterprise, Aventis Lebanon, Beta Engineering Group, FedEx, PLUM.

Community Centers:

Toufoula- Rafik Hariri University Hospital, Al Makassed Hospital, DPNA, Nahwa Al Muwatiniya and 2 LoYAC Committees.

Registration terms for Summer Program:
- Age between 16 - 25 years
- Minimum Average 12/20
- Good Command of two languages : Arabic and a foreign language (English or French)
